Projects

A theatrical rock party from the darker side of the galaxy. Based out of Alexandria, VA Sable Drive is an ongoing project born in 2003 as the brainchild of artist Stan Ascher. First emerging as a nameless, somewhat amorphous rock concept, Sable Drive has since grown into a creative force that has united a slew of talented artists to date — its moniker, set in stone more than a decade after its foundation, paying homage to the street where Ascher would throw block parties and meet many of his future collaborators.

The Plugin: Bring Your Talent. Plug In. Make Music.

The Plugin is a free, open jam series at Artemis DC that brings musicians together to experiment, collaborate, and make some noise!

Whether you’re a guitarist, bassist, drummer, singer, synthesizer enthusiast, or electronic musician, you’re welcome to join in. Bring minimal gear, plug into our shared setup, and see what happens when creative people come together.

We’re building an awesome community where musicians can meet, discover new collaborators, and create opportunities for future performances.

No band required. No cover charge. Just bring your creativity.

Can you plug in?

The experimental solo project of Stan Ascher, combining industrial sounds, synthesizers, drum machines, live looping, and unconventional instruments. Part electronic performance, part sonic chaos, Tidy Demon delivers unpredictable, darkly humorous performances where anything can happen.
